Point North’s experience through planning, executing and revising multiple Mapping, GIS and Surveying projects has highlighted the importance of communication with the separate entities that will be users of the final product. Creating a product that is exactly what all entities need for present and future dates must be the primary goal.

Point North was molded around a land surveyor’s perspective of accuracy, intensity, and excessive data collection. We strive on the importance of matriculate base maps and data integration. This insures that any Mapping, Land Surveying, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) produced by Point North will be the highest level of accuracy available for that project area.

Point North’s HD Surveying uses a survey based scanning technology to capture all the detailed information necessary to meet the demands of each particular design project. Typically for green areas a grid of .3 of a foot would be used. Other points of interest or planimetric features such as fairways, bunkers and structures .5 of a foot would be used. Our technology has a single point positional accuracy of 6mm(.02) @ 50m). Each individual data point captured by the scanner is survey grade accurate with a positional accuracy of +/- two hundredths (.02) of a foot for X, Y, Z or Nothing, Easting and Elevation. This would generate contours that are survey grade and field retraceable to an accuracy of .1 of a foot.
